-Helper has an end product in mind -There is an exact process that must be followed -The Helper does the majority of the project -The Helper corrects or redirects the Artist -The Helper does something for the Artist, not because the Artist needs the assistance, but because the Helper thinks he/she can do it better/faster/prettier -The Helper is emotionally invested in the artwork -THE HELPER IS THE FOCUS | -The Artist has the creative vision -The Artist may be following a general process, but is ultimately in charge of the process -The Artist requests assistance from the Helper, but does the majority of the project -The Artist has access to the supplies & information necessary to complete his/her vision -The Artist is emotionally invested in the artwork -THE ARTIST IS THE FOCUS |
Facilitating can be HARD, especially on days when you didn't get quite enough sleep. But primarily, facilitating can be INCREDIBLE, because when our Artists succeed, it's because THEY ARE SUCCEEDING!!!
