We've had this canvas for a while, and decided to pull it out for the Gala. We had paints and brushes out so that everyone could contribute to the community painting. Didn't it turn out cool?! I'm a big fan of the Yoda, octopus, and the drummer in the top middle of the painting. What's your favorite part?

A HUGE Thank you to all of those who came out to support our artists at our First Anniversary Gala! It was a great success, and Blues 66 is an amazing band! What fun! Check it out:
Yesterday, we discussed pointillism, hatching, and cross hatching during our Art Fundamentals class. During the work time, a lot of our artists chose to paint using pointillism, but Ann had a different goal in mind. She wanted to learn how to draw a cube like I did in the examples of shading. Ann tried on her own, and then asked for a little bit of help. She totally has it down, now! Ann was so proud of herself, and it was AWESOME to see her be so successful! Ann has a wonderful attitude, is a fantastic and spirited dancer, and always bring lots of spunk to our program.
We are already done framing all of the work for the Gala next week! We are so, so, SO excited for this event, and we hope you are, too! Here is a little peak of some of the group pieces that will be up on February 15th!
