Months ago, we posted a sketch of a peg loom, hoping that donations would make this weaving project a reality. And FINALLY, the fabric has been cut, and loom is built, and the weaving has begun. This is going to be a beautiful piece! Special thanks to Megan Daybell and Holladay United Church of Christ for the incredible fabric donations! Check out the progress that's been made in just a week!

TURN City Center for the Arts is proud to announce that Kelsey's piece, "Girl in Red," has been chosen for the cover of the 2014 DSPD Annual Report! We are SO EXCITED for Kelsey's success, and thrilled to be a place that has facilitated her artistic growth! “I’m Kelsey Neff. I’m from Utah. I’ve got five siblings at home. Someone that I love in my family is my sister Maddie. A boy won my sister’s heart. I enjoy TURN and I like all the artwork I did. I made a “K” with string. I’m grateful that you like my picture. I want to say “Thank You” to DSPD. It means a lot to me. I love all of the staff from TURN—Allison, Katie, Natasha, and Jason. And this other girl that used to work here. Her name is Lindee and I miss her. This is my story. Thank you. Thank you again. I’m really excited today. I’m still working on my art stuff. This week at TURN, I made a Disney Land Castle. The end.” |
