So this month has absolutely flown by! That's my pathetic excuse this time for not having another blog post before now... It's been a really hot few weeks, but now that our air conditioning has been fixed, we are happily making great art and being productive and creative! This morning Natasha led a very fun exploring new materials class. It was a step by step somewhat complicated task that we set our artists to, but they had fun and the resulting artwork turned out great! Trust Natasha to come up with a complicated process to make such riveting art! First, everyone was assigned a shape to trace in whatever configurations on their page that they wanted to. Next, they used that same shape to add some outlines by spraying some of our spray inks around them. Next, they put tape down in different patterns on the page and then proceeded to color over and around these taped areas with watercolor crayons. They then added water to the watercolor crayons and peeled off the tape. As many steps as there were, everyone kept up beautifully, and was very proud of the outcome! Everyone stay cool out there, and if you can, try to have as much fun as we do!
