So this Monday was the performance showcase! We had a really good turnout, and I'd like to thank everyone who took time out of their day (and braved the snowy weather) to come support us in this endeavor. We had a lot of fun showing off, and it definitely helped having a good sized audience so we could feed off of their energy. Some of the highlights were the Hapkido demonstration, the musical theater piece, and the improvisational dance piece. Our improvisational dance piece was informed by a poem that the audience wrote, which was so much fun! We had everyone in the audience write down answers to random questions, then put them together to form the poem- this was one of the many delightful brain-children of Natasha. Some of our martial artists are getting very good, so our Hapkido demonstration was more impressive than ever! There were quite a few "oohs" and "ahs" in response to the different forms and the sparring that was displayed. We also had some really fun solo acts that involved harmonicas, dancing, keyboards, and more. Everyone had a great time and it was great to see the "performance high" that we all had for the next few hours. I think this was our best performance yet, and hopefully we'll just keep on getting better and better from here! Hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures from it in the next few days :)
