Our art show at SLCC is up! Truth be told, it's been up for a few weeks on the South City Campus, but I'm just writing about it now because the reception for the art show is this Friday! Because this Friday is also Gallery Stroll, we were a little stressed at the prospect of having to man two different art reception events, and as a result have decided to not hold our regular Gallery Stroll this month. So that means you all need to head over to the South City SLCC campus between 6:30-8:30 PM tomorrow night! I had a chance to go by there yesterday to see the show (we had a small question and answer discussion panel with some of the folks from SLCC- it went really well) and it looks great! Our show is on the big LED wall that faces the main entrance doors of the media building, which is really cool because that means that everyone who walks in those doors sees our artwork! Sadly I will not be at the reception tomorrow as I have a performance elsewhere, but Natasha will be there to represent- so stop by and say hi! Technically, you need to pay for parking at the kiosks or the parking meters, but I think their parking enforcement is more lax at night.... so I'll just leave you with that information and you can decide whether to risk it or not. If you can't make it tomorrow, fear not, the show will be up through May 29th. And if you want to make an evening of it, The Grand Theatre just opened a production of Spamalot in the same building- you could do like I did and go the play, but get there early so you can check out all the artwork! Here's the link in case you're a theater nerd like me and want to see a play as long as you're out there!
