So you guys, it is art show season! We have two opening receptions just this week for art shows that our wonderful artists are displaying work in. The Cottonwood Heights Art show is on display right now at the Whitmore Library for the month of October, and we have 12 individuals displaying at that show. There is an artist reception this Thursday the 20th, so you can drop by and talk to the artists about their artwork. The gallery is downstairs in the library, so drop by and check it out! The other art show we are displaying in is the Sandy Visual Art Show. We've participated in this show in the past, but never quite at this volume. The past few years, the most artists from our program we've had enter work in this show was 3, and this year we had 16 of our artists enter their work! I dropped everything off last week, and I haven't heard yet about anything being juried out, so I think that means that all 16 will be on display! You can check out this show and our wonderful artwork at the Sandy Senior Center located at 9310 S 1300 E from Tuesday, October 18th-Friday, October 28th, and the center is open from 10 am-6 pm. This show also is presenting awards to some of the artwork, so make sure you drop by and see what awards we got!
