We just have so much fun here! Each week we have a class that we call Music Painting. In that class, we choose a different style of music to listen to, then give everyone paint and let the music guide and inform their painting and style for the day. Natasha chooses the styles, and this week's was definitely a winner! We listened to Jewish wedding music, and it was a hit! Everyone was dancing, clapping, and painting up a storm! If you'd like to listen to some yourself, this is the playlist we listened to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzpugZfoCR0&list=PLU9_b1e6vyElxPakZwrDSbxEQJkgDh-e7 So while all this awesomeness was happening in one room, we were having a Hapkido test in the other room. I have to apologize because we were having focusing problems with our camera so all the pictures I took of the test turned out blurry :( But believe, me it was a sight to behold. Everyone performed their Hapkido forms that they created, then each took turns disarming Jason, the "attacker." Everyone did fantastically and was very proud about their advancement! At the end of the test, Jason took a moment to talk about the five tenets of Hapkido: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit. They talked about each of these qualities individually, and how important it is to have control over yourself and your actions. It was great to see everyone explaining when asked what each thing meant and why they were important. So proud of our wonderful group!
