This Wednesday we went to TURN's annual Christmas Party! And can I say- our program definitely has the partying-est folks that there are! We had lots of fun visiting with staff and clients from other programs, chowing down on pizza, and of course dominating the dance floor! I'm proud to say that we pretty much always had folks from our program representing out on the dance floor, often several. And to top it all off, everyone got presents!!!! There was lots of cool swag including solar powered dancing Christmas character toys, teddy bears, coloring books, and more! We're so thankful for all the work those at the main office put into this party to make it a success. I know that our clients look forward to this party, and it did not disappoint! Just look at these happy faces! When we finally got back to the program, everyone was tired from all the dancing and socializing, but very happy. We're already looking forward to the festivities next year!

You guys, I utterly failed at writing any blog posts about our month in November! Can I blame it on making our calendars? I'm going to blame it on making our calendars. And as a reminder, please get your orders in for our calendars before next Wednesday, the 7th! See our main page to look at the thumbnails of what images are in each calendar. We sure are getting into the Christmas spirit today! Tonight is the December Gallery Stroll (it's an early one) and we have been Christmas-ing and Winter-ing up the place in preparation. This week we've been working on some ornaments for our tree and today we got them all on the tree, along with our paper chain garland and beautiful tree topper. I love our tree! It's great to look at our tree and see each individual's personality and style reflected in the hand drawn ornaments, and it gives our tree a very homey feel :) Although it's cold, we are also embracing the beauty of winter with the project we're doing in Natasha's class this morning. Natasha printed up a bunch of pictures of beautiful ice formations, and we are attempting to recreate some of that beauty. Ice is more complicated than you'd think so it's a bit of a struggle, but some of the pieces are turning out quite nicely already! Lastly, but definitely not least, join us for Gallery Stroll tonight. December is a special show where we showcase the work of TURN employees, volunteers, and clients from other TURN programs. It's a beautiful show, and you don't want to miss it! In addition to that, we have a Christmas themed collaborative piece on display that you'll definitely want to check out. We'll also have plenty of magnets and prints for sale so you can give your loved ones the gift of art for Christmas!
